Community Guidelines

Introduction
Our online communities—forums, WhatsApp channels, social media groups, and similar platforms—exist to foster learning, networking, and the exchange of ideas within thedsgnjunkies network. By participating, you agree to abide by these Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”), as well as our Code of Conduct and other applicable policies.
1. Respectful Communication
• Be Considerate: Treat all members with respect and kindness. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks are not tolerated.
• Constructive Dialogue: Offer feedback that is helpful, thoughtful, and relevant. Disagreements can be healthy, but stay focused on ideas rather than personal attributes.
2. Appropriate Content
• On-Topic Posts: Keep discussions aligned with the community’s purpose—design, innovation, creativity, and related professional interests. Irrelevant or off-topic content may be removed.
• No Spam or Self-Promotion: Avoid excessive self-promotion, unsolicited advertising, or spamming the group with promotional links. Occasional sharing of personal projects, job postings, or events is acceptable if relevant and non-intrusive.
• Prohibited Content: Do not share content that is pornographic, illegal, excessively violent, or harmful. Any content that violates our Code of Conduct or local laws will be removed.
3. Privacy & Confidentiality
• Personal Information: Do not post sensitive personal details about yourself or others. Respect each member’s right to privacy.
• Confidential Information: If you have access to non-public or proprietary information, do not share it in the community without authorization.
4. Intellectual Property & Attribution
• Original Work: Only share content you have the right to share. If you post someone else’s work, credit them and ensure that you have permission.
• No Unauthorized Distributions: Do not upload or link to copyrighted material without permission. Posts infringing intellectual property rights may be removed.
5. Moderation & Enforcement
• Moderator Actions: thedsgnjunkies moderators or designated staff members have the authority to remove posts, warn members, and, if necessary, remove individuals who violate these Guidelines.
• Reporting Violations: If you see content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, report it to a moderator via direct message (DM) or send an email to community@thedsgnjunkies.com. We will review and address reports confidentially.
6. Conflict Resolution
• Addressing Disagreements: Try to resolve conflicts through open, respectful dialogue first. If an issue persists, contact a moderator for assistance.
• No Retaliation: Retaliatory behavior against someone who reports a violation or expresses a concern is not acceptable and will be handled accordingly.
7. Platform-Specific Rules
• Adhere to Platform Policies: Each platform (e.g., WhatsApp, Slack, LinkedIn, Facebook) may have its own rules and terms of service. Comply with those rules in addition to these Guidelines.
• Channel & Topic Etiquette: In WhatsApp or forum-based communities, post in the most appropriate channel or section to keep discussions organized.
8. Updates to These Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the community or on our website. Continued participation after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
