Introduction

These Live Event Terms & Conditions (“Event Terms”) apply to your participation in any in-person event organized by thedsgnjunkies, including FiDCon (“Event”). By registering for, purchasing tickets to, or attending the Event, you agree to comply with these Event Terms, as well as any other policies referenced herein (including our Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy).

1. Registration & Tickets

• Ticket Purchase: All ticket purchases are subject to availability and are non-transferable unless expressly stated otherwise. To enter the Event venue, you must present a valid ticket or registration confirmation.

• Refunds & Cancellations: Refund and cancellation policies (including deadlines and fees) will be stated on the ticket purchase page. Outside of these stated policies, no refunds will be issued unless required by applicable law.

• Changes to the Event: We reserve the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel the Event for any reason. In the event of significant changes or cancellation, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered attendees and provide applicable remedies (e.g., partial or full refunds, credit for future events).

2. Attendee Conduct & Safety

• Code of Conduct: By attending the Event, you agree to follow the thedsgnjunkies Code of Conduct, which prohibits harassment, discrimination, and disruptive behavior.

• Compliance with Venue Rules: Attendees must comply with all rules and regulations of the Event venue, including those related to health, safety, and security. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the Event without refund.

• Personal Belongings: You are responsible for the security of your personal items. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

3. Photography, Recordings & Media

• Consent to Be Recorded: By attending the Event, you grant us the right to record, film, photograph, or capture your likeness and voice and to distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use these recordings (in whole or in part) for promotional purposes without compensation.

• Attendee Photography & Recording: Attendees may take photos and short video clips for personal, non-commercial use. If professional photography or video recording is desired, you must seek prior written approval from thedsgnjunkies.

• Intellectual Property: All presentations, workshops, and materials shared at the Event are the property of their respective creators and may be protected by copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property laws. You must not reproduce, distribute, or sell any content without permission.

4. Accessibility & Special Requirements

• Accommodations: We strive to make our Events accessible. If you have accessibility or dietary requirements, please inform us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements where possible.

• Health & Safety Measures: We may implement health and safety protocols (e.g., mask requirements, sanitizing stations) as necessary. By attending, you agree to follow these measures to ensure the well-being of all participants.

5. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

• Assumption of Risk: Attendance at the Event is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, thedsgnjunkies, its affiliates, employees, and agents are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your participation in the Event.

• Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless thedsgnjunkies and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities resulting from your actions or breach of these Event Terms.

6. Privacy & Data Use

• Data Collection: By attending the Event, you acknowledge and agree that we may collect certain personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

• Sharing Attendee Data (If Applicable): With your consent, we may share limited attendee information with sponsors and partners for networking or career opportunity purposes, as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Event Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will apply to your participation in the Event thereafter. Continued attendance or use of your ticket after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

8. Governing Law & Venue

These Event Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and any disputes arising from or related to your participation in the Event shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ghana.
